Ok so I have a 5.3 lm7, I know it's not an LS1 but I figured I should be able to get some help here. I'm swapping the cam and lifters. Never done this myself so I'm trying to do as much research and get as much help as I can. If anyone has any tips or advice or maybe like a link to a good walkthrough I would appreciate it. I've found a lot more cam how to's than lifters, but anything will help. Trying to get this knocked out pretty soon, Thanks guys!

Why are you changing the lifters?
You do not need to for a cam swap unless you have some other problem.

Keep in mind you'll have to pull the heads to change the lifters

I'm really just doing it because the guy I bought the engine from threw in the new lifters and cam, so I figured I would do it. I know I have to pull the heads to do it, I really would rather not do it myself. Just doing the cam would be way easier tho.

if someone else has already changed out the lifters thats just one more reason
not to change them.

Oh my bad I meant he gave me the lifters and cam with the engine. But I ended up just doing the cam yesterday, it was pretty easy now I just gotta wait and see how it runs.
