Default Fan Comes On When Ignition Off

I had posted my 2001 Camaro SS cooling fan(s) came on for no reason with the ignition off and engine cool awhile back. Well, now everything comes on with the ignition off and the key out. In addition to the gauges activating, the radio coming on, the door alarm, car alarm, etc., the engine will also continue to run with the key off and out of the ignition. I was told it is the ignition switch but was wondering if I need to replace the cylinder as well. BTW, I think this may also fix the fan issue.

Your cylinder should be fine. All it does is actuate cams and levers, which then go to the switch towards the base of the column.

OK. Thanks. That's what I thought but didn't want to ignore the cylinder if it might be contributing to the problem.
