I'm running the stock TA right now and was wondering what kind of a difference an aftermarket one would make

It didnt improve mine, but when I finally broke the stocker I went for a stronger version. Maybe with the recent install of my drag shocks on the rear Ill see a difference. Going to the track tomorrow, stay tuned! :drive:

Aftermarket torque arms will help once you have reached the limits of tires. If you aren't running true drag slicks, try those first.

An aftermarket t/a can always help, what does your car 60ft now? You race on drag radials?

Will a good torque arm help even if ET STREETS are used?

In my opinion, yes it would. Gives you another adjustment to dial in. Without it, you have none. True some don't use it, but there is no room for adjustment either. I like random technology TA. cheers..........

almost 300 bucks for a TA and shit to show for it I think I felt more on road handling improvments then 1/4 mile racing improvments. no wheel hop though but I installed LCA's and SFC's. handles fine but not faster.

An afterrmarket torque arm should be done after you do lca's, drag tires, and drag shocks.

An aftermarket torque arm will allow you to put some positive pinion angle in since some stock torque arms are cocked up a bit.
