Default Man I'm glad I went with a 4000 converter

Man oh man...finally got the car back with the rebuilt tranny and 4000 revmax. What a huge difference. Took me 5minutes to get used to it...then it was nothing but smiles. I thought it was hauling *** with the stock converter....yeah right. I'm soooo glad I didn't get a 3600 or below or I would've definitely regretted it. Damm it flys when you give it gas comparable to the stocker. Too much to say...it just kinda sucks because I only get to drive it today...because it goes in tomorrow for the sns cam. Just thought I'd share

Glad you are happy Justin!
While few of us here would be happy with a stock stall, I still think 4000 is a bit much for street driving especially if your rear is less than the 3.73 you have.
I switched between my Yank 3600 and TCI 2400 (every time I tried another trans build) several times last year and would probably prefer something in between with my 3.42 rear. I suspect your 4000/3.73 and my 3600/3.42 feel very similar.

Of course, much of this comes down to personal preference.

BTW - PM/Email me if you ever coming to Ann Arbor; I hope to get out to Kalamazoo later this year.

Yeah....I could see 3.42/3600 being about the same as 4000/3.73...I still never got to feel the loose feeling everyone has talked about. It feels really tight...unlike my girlfriend...hahah...whatever

Nice!!! Yep, i went from a 3200 to a 4000 stall.. I was blown away of how bad *** my 4000 stall was. It also drove as great around town, and highways as my 3200.

I loosened her up for ya .

On a serious note... Glad you like the converter after I was done with my break in it was a good feeling to be able to just punch it. Get some good tires and take full advantage of it especially with the cam.
