Second go around on ebay. Its still exclusive...only few have the ability to buy a $350k car without living in it. Ebay is being used as a marketing tool to get it out there for the ppl with deep pockets who dont know anything about cars but have tons of money.

I think you could probably build one very similarly for less than $100k...huge profit margin built into that price. If they can get that price, then maybe we should do a group purchase of 5-10 new V's, build them then resell them for $125k each. We dont have the same reputation as hennessey, but we are charging just over 1/3 the price...if only it were that easy

i'm sorry, but that is crazy $$$ for a 1200hp cts-v. i love v's don't get me wrong, beautiful machine and quite a work of art by GM, but @ a price tag from Hennessy for 350k you could do so much better and have an actual super car.

Like this (purely an example) and still will have $$$ left over in comparison to the Hennessy price tag:

A lot of people try to sell items on ebay for a ridiculous price, doesn't mean he'll find a sucker with more money than brains to buy it. But there are a lot of stupid people on ebay that pay big money for worthless items lol.

Yeah, but at least you can get four adults in that Hennessey V.

Agreed, however, that $350k is outrageous. IMHO they have no intention on actually selling that car either through that ad or at that price. It's all about publicity.

HG2 read my mind! For that money I would be driving a turbo superleggera
They have a vid of this car hitting 405km in a standing mile (that's over 250mph). Nothing but italian engineering can achieve that. I love the v's but I would never pay anything in the 6 figure range for anything american made. And at 350k you are just paying for the hennessey name.

This thread makes me feel really embarrassed.
I'm having a hard time saving up 20K for the V700 Hennessey package for my V2.

That 20 K will go way......farther and net you more HP spent else where. That 700 kit is a rip off.

Lambo=Italian.

VW = German.

VW, owns Lambo, but they are still built in Italy, and they were founded there, and have always been italian.
