Default Who ports AFR heads?

Well A.I. doesn't port AFR heads. Who's a good porter to send them too? The heads are AFR 180cc...

Might try Jimmy Bell at Mike Trumble Racing Engines, in Houston. He was doing heads on many of the fastest actual race SBCs in Div 4 since 1970 or so.

"Upgrade" to what? Without knowing his build how can you say the heads he has won't work for him?

As long as they are the eliminators, they already flow ~275 out the box and make 500+ flywheel on a proper shortblock - at only 180cc's, perfect for a ~6k rpm street car. With some porting they easily break 300cfm and are plenty for 99% of the builds you see on here. Light 8mm valve's don't hurt either.

I forgot about Larry Meaux, right there in Lousiana. One of the best cylinder head men on the planet. http://www.maxracesoftware.com/
You can contact him there. Many racers use his software too. I do, and love it.

Call Lloyd (LE) as he does AFR's. I have a set of the older 190's on my car and I've toyed with the idea of having them ported out. Lloyd spec'd out my cam and told me he could do my heads as well, but just haven't decided to go that route yet.

I had AI do my last pair and they did a great job to say the least.

I think AI has steered away from AFR's and are now dealing out Trickflows.

He certainly does, as do the two I recomended. All three are on a different level than usually mentioned here. Cost more too. Probably the kicker, most here look for the cheapest, not the best.

Snob meter just went up a few clicks... Most of those who cater to LT1 heads/cam components do just fine for what they charge.

Guess that depends on how fast you want to run. If you want to run like everybody else here, just use what they use.

Most people are pretty happy with that since there have been those in the single digits with "lower tier" heads.
Ignorance is bliss, eh Ed?

There's an old saying when building cars.

Fast, cheap, and reliable. Pick two.

I prefer fast and reliable and an willing to pay the price. Besides who really wants to be like everyone else??

Pretty acurate saying. LOL
Should know who is a legit single digit NA car by looking at results from the LTX BG race. How many there?
