What do you guys think? How's the fitment? Is the power gain the same as kooks or other known brands?? Thanks in advance

There are a few topic, I'm sure you've already hit the search button.

The quality is decent - the price is right.

You're car is not going to outlive the headers.

Priced at about 1/3 the cost of the other headers out there.

Yet, the other headers are not 3 times better than the PS ones.

If they rot out, you can buy another set, and be money ahead, installation included.

Everything here is true.

I'm on a set of 1 3/4 Pacesetters for about a year now, tuned... 0 issues with exhaust leak, etc. I used ARP bolts and Percy gaskets, but even the gaskets that came with it looked decent. Stock intake, stock exhaust with cutouts before the mufflers.

I wrapped my set. Their quality is perfectly fine. They work on F bodies, etc with no issues. Some of the guys figure because they are cheaper, they have to be worse... but thats not the case. Fitment was fine as long as you use the off road extensions if you plan on doing cat delete. Otherwise, you will have to weld exhaust (just like any set of headers)

I put down 371rwhp on the same dyno I know another V1 put down 360 with his Kooks and catback setup. I don't think there is a viable difference to spend 3x the money for another set, TBH. Design might be different and appear restricted, but real world, I doubt you'll notice a difference between 1 3/4 pacesetters and 1 3/4 Kooks.

1 7/8 would be too large for a NA setup unless you plan on making upper 400s+, IMO.

Jeff you will lose low end torque. At least that's what I have read. And I believe everything I read.

Either way your V will still be slower than mine because you still have the dual mass turd boat anchor flywheel will I do not.

Pace setters work great, fitment is good, get the coated ones and be done with it. Don't forget the connectors. For the price you can't go wrong.

I had pacesetters and they are a no-brainer instead of paying for Kooks. The fitment was perfect when I installed them. The gasket that came with them worked perfectly too. I had the coated ones and I wrapped them too. No issues at all, and $800+ less than Kooks.

Pacrsetters do not come in 1 7/8" while they are cheaper than kooks there is also OBX which are a knock off of kooks and come in 1 7/8" they are half the price of kooks and a few hundred more than pacesetters.

Also that 1 7/8" being too much for a na setup is BS.

If I had to do it all over again, I might do the Pacesetters instead of the Kooks, especially since my car is a garage queen. It's hard to justify going to Kooks and SS for that much more money.

Just thought i'd chime in to clear things up. First off pacesetters do come in a 17/8th. Second of all unless you have a blower, H/C forget that idea. 13/4 is plenty. They do rust some so people saying get the coated ones probably have not had them on for long enough. Mine are coated and I see rust spots all over the outside after 15-20k (year and a half). With all this being said they are still by far the best choice for the price and performance. id be surprised and highly doubt if the kooks even get you an extra 5hp... Not knocking on kooks by any means cause they last the life of the car, but they are overpriced by about 5 bills IMO. Also DO NOT use the supplied header to head gaskets. Total junk mine cracked after 10k in at least a dozen places on each side. I replaced with steel ones (factory). No problems or leaks since.

One main thing to consider though!!! Make sure you have a guy that will do your inspection without cats present cause unless you cut the exhaust, your pacesetters are catless only!

Default +1 on Pacesetter Headers

I just installed a set about three weeks ago. Like everyone has said, you can't go wrong for the money. Right now Marylandspeed has the coated ones for 419.95 + 69.95 for the off road pipe. Kooks are 929.95 for the headers + 209.95 for off road connection pipes.

So $489.90 or $1139.90? I would have to buy 3 sets of pacesetters before I'd be over the cost of Kooks. With the money I saved I was able to get the custom tuning done for the cat delete and overall improvements for the headers.

The pacesetters to me seemed to be of very good quality. The coating seemed to be good and they fit perfectly. They made my Borla cat back sound awesome too.
