Default New take on 16X8 Camaro Stockers

scrapping the chrome finish(not my taste) sanded down and prepped for GM Gunmetal Metallic....similar to cyber gray metallica but a bit darker.

They will then be wrapped in Riken Raptors 225/50/16 front and 295/50/16 Mickey Thompson ET street DRs

when I'm done and mounted I'll post some pictures and yall can tell me your opinions

this is my temporary solution until I get my custom C6 ZR1 17"s gunmetal.

Are these the '98-'99 five spokers, or the '00 up 10 spoke 'snowflakes'?

295 seems a little wide for an 8inch wheel.

Yes it will fit on a 16x8 wheel. I had a set of BF Goodrich Radial T/As on mine, Long time ago.

Heres the 295/50/16s on my stock z28 wheels.
https://ls1tech.com/forums/13463980-post9.html

Then theres this size as well, 275/55/16

A Better HD pic of this car.

do you have any pictures of you car from the rear with the 295s?

I figure as much that I have to do the BFH mod maybe spacers? My car is stock ride height for now that will change but that is with a new set of wheels and tires.

My guess is that he's going for the 'streetable' front skinny/big drag radial rear setup, but I personally would still go with a 225/55-16 tire on the front, NOT a 50 series profile.

If the 295/50s will go on an 8" stocker, then maybe I was too worried about putting a 265/45-16 Ecsta XS all around on my stockers??!

This is my temporary set up, I plan on running 2009 Z06 Spyders 19X10 in the front and 19X12 in the rear with 285/30 front and 325/30 rear

Front will fit with no modification but since I already have to do the BFH mod, all I have to do is cut the bump stop, get a 1/4 spacer and roll the fenders, basically everything that you would have to do to get anything larger than a 295 on an 18 or 315 on a 17. The only extra thing I have to do is get tubular control arms.

I am also putting CTS-V brakes on...

That black Plasti-dip looks good the photos. Does it look like it would hold up well?

Yes I do. Probably the only pic I have of it. I had those tires back in 2008

Yeah I had it for about 5 months before removing it. It holds up in weather and car washes. It gave me some trouble removing it. But its a strong adhesive and durable ptoduct
