I have a stock T56 behind a 650hp 416 in my 02 camaro I road race with. Since having problems with trans and clutch I'm thinking of pulling the trans and going through it.

Can they have lower gear sets put in them similar to the tr6060/camaro ss 1lee?

you can switch to the gto or c5z06 gear set. which is 2.97, 2.07, 1.43, 1..... This would require switching to a gto mainshaft or better since you have a high hp application and would also require a doner gear set as this gear set uses 3 cone and 2 cone synchro designs for better shifting.

with some rework , you can get the 1le ODs( the rest of your ratios are the same)
