I would say its on the small size. Mine bigger and on a 114 and behaves like stock WITH tuning. Without tuning its ridiculous. If its on a 114 you will be able to tell there is a cam in it at idle. But down the street and driving around it will be pretty tame. On a 112 it will lope more I'm guessing but should still drive just fine.

I have the FMS 228 114 in an A4 and it is fine even without a tune. (Aside from my idleing problems) When I get the tune Im sure it will be very, very nice.
If I had an M6 I probably would have stepped up to the F11 (228/230), but thats just me. Good luck with your choice.

A cam itself doesn't make #'s. It's a package (Heads, cam, Tuning, induction etc...)
I had a 216/220 , 0.525/0.532 114lsa with 5.3 stage II's + 1.85 slp rockers + tune and bolt ons that made 405 rwhp/478tq. M6 (Crashed the car up front pretty bad)
You could pump 420rwhp+ with a 228, providing you match your "package" pretty well.

For a 100 shot, no need, it will work fine.
Actually with no heads, I would go with an intake split like 228/224 or 230/ 228 and a 113 lsa.
I know you are going to say I should favour the exhaust side, and I would agree with higher flowing heads.

I do plan to do the heads later, but cant right now due to the budget. As far as the in take and exhaust side, I have that taken care of with the LS6 intake, lid w/ k/n, 85mm maf, lt's and ory with custom catback. I think it will breath ok for now even without the heads. As far as the spray goes, I think that will be comming off when the heads are done.

I'm very intersted in the 228/228 FMS cam too. My buddy has a 224/224 112LSA on his M6 with a dump and race pipes and it still sounds fairly tame. I could deal with a lot more than that. Does the 114 LSA FMS cam shake the car, or not?
