Default stock rod bolts + wet shot

I have an 02 cam only trans am and I'm planning on running a 100 shot on it this spring. My rev limiter is set at 6500 and I have stock rod bolts. I want to know how many of you are running with stock rod bolts and if I should be putting new rod bolts in?

Alot of people are running stock bottom end blocks and hitting them with quote a bit more than 100 hp.

Your fine I have on anything below a 200shot plus your risking if you dont do the bolts right then your asking for a spun rod bearing. Your better off not touching it especially if you have a street car.

Stock bottom end with stock rod bolts here. The car has been at the track since it had 500 miles on it new in 2002. I have been spraying it since 2004-2005 and running in the 6's ever since then. The car has 75000 miles on it now and no problems at all.

PS; Does anyone know what the record for a full weight with AC, stock bottom end, stock rod bolt LS1 is?

We have run 9.87 @3500 lbs, 2002 Z28. Car has a/c, 4l60E, stock heads, intake, stock rod bolts. Just swapped converter and gears, so hoping to go quicker when we get it dialed in again.

If so PM me so I can take that ride up there.

Yea, we had a problem with getting the corrrect stuff for the gear swap. Ordered gears from vendor and they didnt send the complete install kit with the spacer for the pinion gear. So we borrowed a center section a friend had laying around until we get the correct parts. It had 3:50 gear in it so the results were less than stellar which we expected. Just wanted to make a few hits yesterday to see kinda how the converter would act. Managed to get a 1.39 60 ft , but, the tall gear was killing mph on the big end. Hope to get the 3.70 in it by next week. Went ahead and had converter set up for the power we should be making with head swap when it's done and more jet. Will definitely let you know when we get ready to make some serious hits.
