Hm I would have guessed the driveshaft, but looks like you've already got that covered. I've had my firebird cruising at 90-95 mph and it's smooth as butter. I have all rubber mounts and bushings and most have been replaced within the last 5k miles.

Tires?

Out of balance? Out of round? Uneven wear? Causing the axle to shake, through the driveshaft to the shifter?

I have a wicked vibration over 70mph where it feels like the D/S is going to come FLYING out of the car. I have replaced EVERYTHING up to the axles in the rear end. I am swapping rears on friday.

New clutch/flywheel
2 different transmissions
2 balanced different driveshafts with new u-joints
2 sets of straightened balanced tires
new torque arm
new lcas
new panhard
rebuilt rear with all new minus the axles
literally everything has changed, but the axles...

The vibration isn't as bad in gear under load, but if you push that clutch in... it feels like a death trap

my car has it horrible too, even in 4th gear.

Super smooth and calm up to 75-80 and then it starts to feel unsafe. Pisses me off because I really want to do the Michigan mile but not in the condition that its in.

I have new mounts, wheels, tires, shocks, clutch kit, and wheel bearings.

one transmissions was the original one, and the other one was a "rebuilt" one. I had it in my other formula, and I don't remember a wicked high speed vibration in it... so I dont think its the transmission. That was many moons ago though

I cant remember is i had that vibration before or after i installed my exhaust. It is really annoying though, a firm punch to the side of the console where the ebrake is solves it temporarily. EDIT reading most of your comments my console does vibrate but it doesnt feel like the car is falling apart like you've been having.
