Kooks header for ls1 fbody with 4l80 problem
Got a shop installing them and the driver side went in no problem but the pass side I think was bent wrong. Can only get the front bolt in and the others aren't even close. It hits the trans bellhousing and heat shield where the collector is. I'd hate to have to send it back but might have to. Looks like it would clear the trans if the collector was down farther and it could rotate into position.
Anyone else have this setup have any problems?

I don't have an F-body, but I had the same issues when I installed LT headers on my truck with OEM 4l80e. The trans bell housing was an easy fix, just a quick cut-off with a reciprocating saw (see pic below). Also, my system had an exhaust hanger and heat shield mounted to the pass side of the tranny which clashed with the LT header collector, is that what you are talking about? to fix that, I just removed the hanger/heat shield assembly.

Ya contacted kooks and they said I had to cut the ear flush and the bellhousing where the dust shield would connect to. Also have to reroute my one trans line from the heat shield since he said it was a really tight fit there as is.
