Right now Im running 275/40/17 M/T et streets on factory zr1s. I have 4.11s and this set up I believe it 26.5" tall. Im trapping like 100rpm before redline. Stock long block car. I plan on spraying the car but I really do not want to need 5th gear before the traps. Will a 28" tall tire allow me to trap 120+ in 4th gear? Im trapping 114 now and I believe Ill be on the limiter at 115. Can I run a 28" tire on a 17x9 wheel? If so what size

A simple gear calculator shows a 28" tire with 4.11s the 6000rpm redline comes in at 122.

Thanks guys, my tune has my limiter a little higher about 6200 so thats good. But damn they are expensive lol.

I just bought the 325 45 R17 direct from mandhtires.com 299.00 each. I believe they are the only ones making a 28" DR for a 17" rim. They hook like you wouldn't believe. By far the best DR that I have used.
