Default Any difference between a car pressure plate and a truck

Im in the middle of a project and I was needing a clutch last night. I have a 2000 Camaro flywheel installed already and I went to Oreillys to get a clutch. Nobody in town had one for the car so I got one for a 2001 Silverado 2500 6.0. The bolt holes lined up perfectly but the alignment pins on the fly wheel was off by about half of the hole. I wonder if it is a stamping error during production or it just dont fit? I guess I need to wait on one for a Camaro but I still dont understand the difference. Anybody else experience anything similar to this?
