Default 98 ls1 into 02

putting engine,harness,computer,from my 98 camaro into a 02 camaro.just relized the 98 has the 3 wire plug and the 02 has 2 plugs.I see that i might have to repin it.do they make a conversion kit,or can i pull the 3wire set up out of the 98.will it still run if i just plug the 2 in for now.just some of the guages wont work?.any help would be apprecated.thanx howie
P:S told my son to check all of this before we started it.another fine mess he got me into.

Yes you can use it. The 'C' position is for the gauge cluster.

What exactly are you doing..converting a V6 car?

?.. if so.. I would just use the 98 LS1 as a long block with accessories, intake, etc and then find a 99+ wiring harness, sensor, and PCM.. to match your year F-Body. would swap in a lot easier.. You mingth have to extend some part of the harness (Notch Sensor ?). Otherwise, it would be a easy swap.

Also, tuning is a lot better on the 99+ (411) PCM's over the 97-98 ones.

Exactly..99-02 Engine Harness, and preferable and 02 PCM..

Unless the car he has is stripped of wiring.
