Rear still high with MM kit and eibach pro kit install
Hey guys i just installed the MM spacer kit on my 05 cts-v and im pretty happy with it other than the rear still sits pretty high. I have eibach pro kit springs and the front looks great but i still have a 3-4 finger gap in the rear. Is it common to stay that high even with after market springs? do i need to wait for the struts to settle? or should i just say F*ck it and cut the springs?

MM spacers simply prevent the load leveling feature of the FG2 shocks from kicking in and pumping the back end up even higher.

Fuzzylog1c i know what you mean about the cutting the springs im afraid of bouncing around like some civic on a pogo stick after the spring rate goes up but alot of the guys on the forums have cut their springs like a coil or half a coil with success. If im not mistaken mighty mouse ran on his own kit with cut OEM springs

I had my car for sale in the classified's those are the only pics I have at the moment. No I didn't have to cut them, the stance is perfect imo. Maybe a finger between the tire and the quarter panel. Fuzzy, that I know of there only two manufactors that made/make lowering springs for our cars, HR and Eibach so what springs are you referring to? The OP also states that he is using Eibach springs.

so been driving around for the past two days and its settled to about 2 fingers in the rear. Im running the stock wheels with 255/40/r18 hankook v12s. The previous owner had the eibachs installed before I bought the V which was like 6 months ago now so no real break in period needed. I dont know I may be asking too much from a simple kit. Im used to being slammed due to being on coils on my last car. Heres some pics of the rear

The 255/40 is a shorter sidewall than stock by about 1/3". Not a huge amount, but that would be a noticeable difference.
Get the car on a level surface and measure up from the center of the wheel to the fender lip. That takes the tire sidewall out of the equation and provides an actual measurement that people can compare to. Pictures of your fingers aren't as good as a tape measure.
