Default good selling price for lt1 t56

whats a good asking price for selling a used T-56 LT1 trans with 120k miles? Also have a spec stage 1 clutch with less than 500 miles, stock drive shaft, bell housing, stock fly wheel.

It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. I'll admit it will be hard selling a trans with that many miles for any significant amount of $$$.

I've been shopping for a trans for almost 2 months now. I'd be hard pressed to give you over $1100 tops for a 120k mile trans in functioning condition.

I feel like an idiot for not jumping on a fully built zero mile trans with new bearings, synchros, reverse gear, and stage 2 treatment for $1800 shipped now that I know how much of a bargain it was.

you're better off selling the clutch and flywheel by itself. Almost anyone who by that trans would probably buy it for a rebuild so I would list it as such, but with no issues. I'd say about $500 for the trans. Not sure about the clutch though.

Probably around $1200 if it doesn't pop out of any gear including reverse and includes hydraulics. These m6s are worth way more than our motors because they can be used on any gen 1 or 2 small block.

RPM transmissions offers somewhere around a grand for a core. You should be able to easily get that amount as long as it's in good working condition (buyer beware of course). The BW T56 does have a reputation for being a solid trans so people may be willing to pay if the market is there, as already stated.

Saw the title and thought you were swapping in an auto, relieved to hear it was just a spare trans. You scared me for a second

I was lucky and found just the trans and shifter for $500. Came with a clutch and fly I couldnt use.

The LT1 T56 trans is very popular to swap behind gen 1 sbc causing a higher demand. On the right forum I could see $1200 or so.
