new to this site but not new to the vehicle scene. just decided to go with an ls based engine Gen III in my 95 formula. picked up a nice LQ4 for her that getting turbo'd soon. in the mean time, i also picked up a low mileage 92 s10 that ive fallen in love with. but now want more power and not happy with the 18 mpg of the stock 2.8 in her. ive read that the LR4 4.8 in a truck like that averages 22-24 mpgs and even if it only does get 18..... at least i have nut behind her now.

problem at hand is i WILL NOT ever driver an auto and im having much difficulties finding out what standard to run. this will be a budget build so a t56 is out of the question unless someone wants to give me one for the price of a 5 speed.... haha doubt it.... can anyone give me insight as to what flywheel clutch and tranny i will need to make this swap possible? all help is greatly appreciated
