Default High Idle

I searched and couldn't find what I was looking for..so...My car idles high all the time. If I perform the idle "relearn" procedure, the car will idle where it should. As soon as I turn the car off and let it sit, I start it back up, the idle is high again...any ideas..Thanks for any help!

Perhaps a vacuum leak. Check the hoses around the PCV system.

I had a high idle problem caused by a crack in the small hose between the PCV valve and the manifold (behind the TB). It was a good excuse to do the '04 LS6 PCV conversion

Could be a dirty or faulty Idle Air Control valve. My '00 Z28 was doing the same thing as your's and I was instructed to just take some carb cleaner and clean mine. It worked for about a day and returned to high idle. I bought and replaced the valve (10 minute job from start to finish) and it was perfect after that and still is. This was probably over a year ago that this happened with mine;

IAC Valve
