Default Having trouble getting rear springs out....

I have done and seen it tons of times...have the rear of the car in the air, weight off the axle, the rear springs will not come out. Even took the shock off the mount and the LCA and still wont give enough to let me get it out.

Think the torque arm is holding it in place?
Its aftermarket.

Try disconnecting the sway bar endlinks.

Both shocks should be disconnected at the same time, if so did you add a driveshaft safety loop since you last changed springs? It may be hitting and not allow full droop.

Well I finally got it wrangled out lol. It turned out to be the exhaust hanging and not letting it droop enough. But even when I had it done, still would not let them fall out like normal. I had to bang and pry to get the damn things off lol.

Oh well, the BMR's are in and that is done....on to the fronts tomorrow. Just taking them off and having a shop do the springs themselves so I dont lose my fronts on a loaner spring compressor.

Just have to disconnect the shocks and the swaybar endlinks and the axle should drop right down. The torque arm, phb, lca's can all remain intact.
