cc306 springs and rr 1.6 or 1.5
Ok so the build has begun, i've dreamt of doing the 396 but in an effort to put more money in my shop I opted to go the cheaper route. So what i've planned and ordered are pace setter lts I have a full 3" exhaust after y, ported and polished stock heads with (machinist says equivilant to le2 spec) for the the cc306. 4.10 gears and bfg dr's. I'm still deciding on aluminum 1.6rr or the steel ones? and i've read mixed results from the 918 beehives. chrome moly hardened push rods and dyno tune when done. So my question(s) are.....go ahead and do 160 202's while heads are off? which springs? and aluminum or steel rr's? And has anyone run the split? 1.5/1.6 on an lt1? any benefit? I've also heard that the a4's really need a stall for this cam to help the idle any opinions on tci? their 3200 stall is pretty affordable. And lastly is there any other smaller decent gain mods I can do on top end while i'm in there?

Do what i did, i was looking into these converters as well when i needed one. I was convinced to stay away from "off the shelf" converters, and i went with a yank 3600. Its pricy, but man it works great and its reliable. I would stay 1.6, and remember man dont skimp on the converter!! I know its hard to shell out that much but its well worth it in the long run.
