Default efi live v1 trouble

I need a little help from the experts. I'm trying to set up my v1 so i can log without the laptop in the car. Using an old post from Joecar and the owners manual i followed the steps described. When i connect the cable to the car without the laptop and hit the record button to validate the PIDs the "log" button turns green for about 15 sec then shuts off. I then go into the read logged data screen and it shows the status of v1 as "validating pids" mode. I've done this about 10 times but it won't switch. When i go to the "program pids" menu it gives me a DMA suffix warning (normal?) then says i have no selected channels? I'm pretty lost and could really use some help. With the laptop in the car it still scans with no issues

Hey Matt - did you program the pids into the V1 using the laptop prior to blackbox logging?

Sent you an email with an attachment and some explanation...

Also try removing the DMA pid from the list of black box pids.

outkast,

did you figure it out...?

if not, then I'll have to dig up my old V1 and see what the scantool page shows.

Set Max Frames Per Log to zero, this will keep recording going until V1 flash memory is full

( see scantool user manual pdf pages 110-112.

Download/install Greenshot from sourceforge, it makes screenshots a snap (pun intended).

Well here are a couple screen shots. I made the changes stated above but I'm obviously missing something because on the status page the new info isn't there. It still only logs for 600 frames

Did you program that into V1...?

It shows zero channels... try clearing and reprogramming it.

outkast,

can you start a thread on the EFILive forum (in the V1 section) and post those images...

I'll dig out my V1 and compare it to what you see.
