tci tcu question
I put a 4l60e in my carbed ls2 powered 69cst truck with a tci tcu to control it but it doesn't shift into the next gear until you floor it and it shifts from 1st to third when it does shift and then it wont shift into overdrive...anybody have any of those problems and what did you do to fix it??

Check the resistance through both shift solenoids. You can just disconnect the harness from the TCU and check it there. If nothing is wrong there, call Ricky at TCI and ask him to test the TCU for you.

It has a tps error code that i cant clear...it has the correct settings from idle to wide open..i had to notch it to get the correct .05 at idle position and now i cant clear the tps error code out..ivd unhooked everything and let it for hrs with no luck also...

It has to be over 0.1V at an idle. Otherwise, it will set a code. If you have a multimeter, you can check wire B on the TPS and see what the voltage is.

Unless you made a typo above, you state your tps idle reading is .05 volts, this is likely the cause of your tps code. Haven't used my scanner in awhile but I believe a typical GM tps voltage at idle should be .4-.6 volts. If you don't have a scanner use your voltmeter as described above by kevin.
