I have a 2002 4.8L - looking to rebuild the motor. I've heard these motors like turbos, whats the best route I should take.

alot of guys have great success using a zo6 cam, and are making upwards of 800whp with em..id run some 317 heads for lower compression, valvesprings, and the bottom end id pretty much leave alone, inless you wanna get some katech rod bolts for added insurance. alot of guys leave the bottom end alone and dont have any problems.

not sure of your build plans for this engine, swing over by the forced induction section and inquire there also!

HONOSTLY...you can find a super low mileage 4.8 engine for $500
that you dont have to rebuild or do **** to, throw a cam in, and
317's and be done..its really up to you if you wanna build a stout
engine, but a stock engine will give you excellent results as well.

with that mileage, its definitly a good idea to have everything checked
out at a machine shop, cracks, line bore, everything..and your gonna be
out alot of money when your done..just my .02
