t-56 to powerglide swap? This is a long shot but heres my situation, i need a new clutch, well im looking at around 1500.00 for the clutch and labor, but i would like to build my car up a bit so another 1500-2500 for a trans rebuild... would i be better off dropping a powerglide into it? this will be a track car when its all done and i know this will give me most consistent numbers at the track. I just know i could be looking at upwards of 4,000.00 for redo the T-56 ... Does anyone know roughly what i would cost me to swap out to a automatic?
