I dnt plan on going for anymore hp than 550-650...so I dnt need a turbo to grow later...how will it spool....and really dnt wana spend over a 1k for a turbo looking around 800 range....bottom end will be stock...what psi would I have to run to get me to my goal....dnt really wana run to much on stock bottom end....kinda new to the turbo game so any info will helpful...if I do go threw wth building the motor it will go in my 84 chevy shortbed. thanks

OP,
We just did a LQ4 with a S475 with 1.10 T6 for a stock bottom end street car. Target hp is inline with what you want to make with some room to grow. That turbo was $691 shipped from Forced Inductions. 5psi @ 3500rpm. 550to650hp on 93 w/alky and a2a should be roughly 12 to 16 psi (15 to 17* timing 11.0 to 11.3 AFR). Exhaust housing/turbine wheel will be the limit on a 6.0L if you turn it up more later.
Just my 2 cents.
good luck.

The Ebay GT45 will hit those numbers if that is all you are shooting for and has proven to be reliable too. Get the one from VS racing and look in Denmah's common bought turbo items thread.
Personally I am a fan of the BW units and a S475 is easily capable of 700+ so that is my vote. You cant go wrong with forced inductions customer service either. Foose04 put down over 900rwhp with a billet race cover version of the S375 with a stock bottom end 4.8. So there is plenty of growing room with these when you inevitably get bored with 600rwhp, and you will. My car was my DD at those power levels and it felt normal after a few months.
