79 blackbird

hello everyone, im new to the forum and looking for anyone who might have installed a lq4 5.3 or 6.0 in a 79 trans am using the truck intake and accessories. I can get either pretty cheap with a stand alone wiring harness and want to know if this is more trouble than its worth, being that its a truck motor with the bigger intake and the alternator seems a bit high for clearance. I have searched the web for anyone who has used this engine with a 4l60 or 80e tranny in my car. I just don't want to have to get into changing a bunch of parts. Please help , any advise or knowledge is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Shouldnt be a hard task to accomplish. Those cars tend to have a lot of room to work on. You can always ask in the conversions section for good advises.
