Default LSxTV - Corsa install on first Gen-V

Very good write up. I am surprised that a stock V with factory exhaust manifolds and cats, the Corsa exhaust still has the loose baffle rattle sound!

Thanks for sharing. I was on the line whether to spend the grand or not on a Corsa exhaust.

Get the Corsa. It's super quiet inside the car.

Holy crap! Can't really argue with dyno data. Adding 12 rwhp and 24 rwtq is nothing to sneeze at.

Personally, I did a Corsa after I'd had my car for 13 mos. and almost couldn't tell a sound difference. Then, I added L-Ts and am so glad I have the Corsa as it keeps it just barely civilized ... except at WOT.

Dyno numbers are a bit surprising given its the same size as stock and considered mostly a sound mod by most over the years, maybe there stock mufflers were not up to par and leaking or causing restriction?

Totally agree. Even if it was 3" compared to OEM's 2.5", I'd find it hard to digest.

So, what's the explanation?

Smoother pipes and joins? Freer flowing muffs? My exhaust guy said the stock pipes looked rough inside.

inside I will agree that Corsa does not add a lot of sound inside the car (whats this with a "luxury" car and sound deadening). outside the car you would not mistake a stock exhaust for the Corsa.
