Default MAP Sensor Keeps Popping Out

I have an '01 WS6 with an LSX intake and a D1SC that makes around 8.5 PSI boost. My MAP sensor has popped out or been blown out a couple different times now. Would it hurt to try to use permatex on the grommet around the sensor to try to get it to stay in the hole in the back of the manifold? Obviously I'd be conservative with the amount used and would avoid blocking the hole in the sensor.

screw in a npt to barb into the stock hole, then use a rubber hose to go into the map nipple.

Thanks. That sounds like a great idea. Looks like I'll be pulling the manifold this weekend.

On my buddies D1SC 370 we just pulled the old seal off the map sensor and used some vacuum hose on the map sensors nipple and shoved it in there.

I did the 1/4 NPT to 1/8 barb trick to. Works perfect. I did have to start the threads with a tap first though. I read here you could just thread it in but that was not the case for me.

It did come out while I was driving down the highway. I couldn't figure out why the vacuum dropped from about 10 to 5 and the wide band was going crazy fluctuating from 12 to 17. It wouldn't idol very well either. What kind of bad things should I be on the look out for under the hood after driving it like that? I have an SD tune on it now, so it really needs that map to be working all the time.

This is what I have always done. No problems to date on any of my stuff.
