What are your goals? Street strip how fast do you want to go and how much money do you want to spend? A 383 with either one of those turbo's will be stupid fast.

I'm looking for the same thing that you are. I'm running an L33 with a cam and valve springs with an s475. If I were you I would get a 4.8, 5.3 or 6.0 they will all get you there just find one with the newer rods and floating pistons. Put a cam and valve springs in it and boost the crap out of it. Spend your money on a good converter and suspension. Are you going to tune it yourself? I'm running the Holley HP unit and it is very user friendly and allows me tune switch tunes from pump fuel to E85 or race fuel with the click of the mouse.
