Default LT4 Knock Module

Hi does anyone have one for sale or know of a dealer still selling them?
I cant seem to find one.
Are any later knock modules compatible with obd1 PCM's?
I really want to eliminate the false knock im getting at 4400rpm.

You don't have headers or really anything that will cause false knock.
How do you know you are getting knock? Datalogging?
You can de-sensitize the stock module with tuning.

^^ what he said. My tuner desensitized my stock sensor so I didn't need the LT4. Works like a champ.

Thanks! I know its false knock because its consistently at the same RPM and it does'nt build up any higher. Also I desensitized the knock sensor but it still picks it up a bit its just annoying really. The timing is set pretty tame at WOT,im around 30* in the 4000-4500rpm range and 33-34 in the 5000+ area and I run 94 octane gas always.

Did you zero out the Low Octane tables?

What will happen is if it picks up the false knock then it automatically jumps to the Low Octane tables, be sure not to run low octane then. If you tune it for 91 - 93 do no run any lower.

Oh really? I haven't touched those tables because of a lack knowledge about what those numbers mean, but that's a good idea! So how should I go about it just 0 all the low octane tables?? I always run 94 octane there's lots of Petro Canada stations around southern Ontario. Thanks for the help!

Yes, the Low Octane tables are for if the PCM picks up knock multiple times it then assumes its bad gas so it reverts to the Low Octane tables.

As I said do not run low octane if you do zero these tables as it will have nothing to revert to and ping to death.

Yes I understand the risks, as I said the car since I've owned it (4 years) has never seen gas less than ultra 94 octane from Petro Canada. Since I've tuned it I've only been more diligent in making sure I put 94 in.

So all low octance tables should be set to 0?

Correct there is no need for the low octane tables if you only run 91+ gas.

Let me know if that clears up your false knock.

I talked to Solomon when I was chasing my false knock and figured it out, I am trying to remember what I did. I know that was one of the things.

why do you say the false knock is annoying? are you constantly data logging all the time you are driving? So you are saying if you do not see it on the data logger then its ok, or is there some actual pinging going on..
