Default Vette, Camaro, or T/A

So i want to buy a new car, im torn between getting an 01/02 camaro SS for incredibly cheap and modding it to hell, spending a little more to get an 01/02 WS6 and modding that as well, or just sacking up and trying to find a c5 zo6 (hopefully the 405 hp ones, not the 385) for somewhere around 25k and probably not having a ton of extra spending money for awhile. Suggestions?

If you're going to mod, don't worry about sticking with 01/02. Same with the Z06 -- if you're going to mod it, '01 is fine. Hell, just get a FRC or base C5.

I think a base c5 would be great, you can find a good one around 16k and you will have money left over to mod it, the fbody wont ever be as good due to physical limitations

Well for 25k you could do the C5 ZO6, or a 98-02 F-body and throw a ton of that money into it making it a beast. I guess it depends on how fast you want to go

for 25k IMO get an FRC and slap a prochager on it with supporting mods. That'll eat up your 25k and be a fast car.

Unless the primary goal is to build a drag car. In which case, the C5 won't ever be as good due to IRS.

Different cars to suit different goals. It's best to decide on your priorities first, then pick the car that best suits those desires.

As said above, if you plan to heavily modify the F-body, there is no reason to limit yourself to an '01/'02.

C5 z06. Depends what you want. I love my c5z so Much more than my t/a. Overall a better car. More sold, I'd say less creaks and rattles but the vette didn't have any at all. Fun and sexy car and goes faster easier imo. Stock you'll trap 115-118, mild cam will get you in the 120's with zero driveability issues. While getting 30mpg. And can get it to 3,000lbs very easy.

Just remember if you get a Vette you need to be able to afford a good hotel room. Not the case with a F body.
