Question Weight of fully dressed LS1

Does 500lbs sound right for the weight of a fully dressed LS1. Everything from intake to oil pan, right out of the car (no clutch or cooling fans).

Thanks!

A longblock LS1 (oil pan to intake manifold, no accessories or flywheel) is roughly around 240-250 lbs. Adding exhaust manifolds, coil packs and accessories wouldn't add approximately 250 lbs, so 500 lbs seems a touch high IMO. Probably closer to 400 lbs.

Yeah it seemed high to me as well, when I read it, but it's was all I found.

Come on guys!!! I know some dressed LS1 have been shipped! I don't need any surprises at the loading docks

Yeah the forum has become sad lately.

Well I am advertising it as a fully dressed LS1 so that includes everything attached to the long block I guess

an LS3 weighs less because of the bigger bore. but barely, the pistons make up the difference
