Default need help lt1

helping out a buddy with his lt1 he did a manual swap in it car has a 96 harness out of a manual z28 , 97 computer out of his auto z28 and we have done a new icm and ignition coil and fuel pump relay . problem is i am getting no spark and
no fuel pump( as in the pump doesnt come on when i turn the key forward) i am doing my best to try to get this car running for him any help is appreciated if this is covered in another post please direct me to that topic
once again thanx and any help is appreciated

The signal may not be getting from the opti to the PCM. You can test it by doing this:

I dunno.. could be a VATS issue? Is there a security light?

Using an auto PCM the engine may not idle right and the reverse lockout solenoid will not function. You can always get it reflashed to a manual PCM though.

Does sound like vats. Tune it out and see is that helps

If I remember right 96 was still an obd1 car and 97 computer is an obd2 so that could have something to do with it as well

Correct.

95 is what is commonly referred to as OBD1.5.
OBD2 connector with a OBD1 system.
