G8- Twins or Single Build
Ok, so this is very much preliminary research on my part. I would like some input on going the Turbo route on my 09 G8 GT. Im not sure how many different styles of builds have been done on these cars, but I am considering going with a twin setup right off the manifolds down where the cats are…that’s obviously been done (House of Boost Etc.)
Im not opposed to running a single… but I have a few rules I will not break with this car and the twins down low seemed the least invasive overall. My initial build criteria is as follows:
1) Not cutting the car up
2) AC Stays
3) Reliability
4) Response
5) Power
I would like some input on sizing of the twins on the factory L76… for both power on the 6.0 as well as space constraints. Any and all input is welcome… Just understand I have worked a turbo car before so I understand the million little other items involved, but for now I am doing some broad strokes to figure out sizing of the Turbo's and WG's and see what other ideas may crop up.
If you want me to put a preliminary power level Id like... lets say 600hp

Do a rear mount setup with 6262's, itll save you the time and hassle of putting them up front so you wont really have to rearrange much of anything and it'll make the power you want since you are staying with a stock motor, plus you will get to hear them spool which will be an added bonus.

Been down this road a few times over the past two years. Wanted to do a single turbo TC78 in the factory air box location. Problem is running an efficient hot side and running the down pipe around the engine mount and steering shaft. Twins would be cool but then again the piping. I have seen set ups and i'm a stickler about how it looks under the hood and under side and it seems to usually like a birds nest of tubing.

It would have been nice to have the front room that the F-bodies have. I have been thinking of getting a smaller radiator width wise but thicker and that would make room for the turbo up front - but I do not want to invest all that money and it not work.
Vector motorsports has done the single turbo in the air box location, kits not for sale... And no real specs. From past videos and photos they seem not to show the manifolds, crossover pipe and down pipe.
