Default Trying to decide on a f1-a, f1-c, f1-r and fuel system

We have a 408 317 (flowing 317-318)
ported heads, brute speed cam 80 lbs Siemens Aeromotive boost reference regulator. Waste gated also. 4l80e built and a yank 3600

It will be a street car mainly. It will have all factory options including ac.

I am trying to decide on a blower size.

F1-a
F1-c

And fuel pump 92 octane and meth

Already have filter Aeromotive 10an with shut off

I am thinking 10 an line in 8 return incase we go e85 later
2 or 3 walboro pumps? 255's or 400's

I would get the new F1X and put a bigger pulley to limit boost. more contact, less slippage. The F1X is easier to turn also, freeing up a little more usable hp.

Also, I have 2 walbro 450's. 2nd pump turned on at 7 psi boost. i am running a little over 1000rwhp.

I had a D-1SC, and had the opportunity to upgrade to an F1C, so I did. My car is a 5.3 truck motor in my 99 Vette and is a 6 speed. I am interested in the wastegate setup you keep mentioning.

F1X has a 5 inch opening, so I really did not have many options. I just used a cast 90 elbow with a 6 inch conial filter. I have a meth nozzle tapped into the elbow also to cool down the head unit air intake, so the head unit would be more effecient. I attached an older picture of my engine bay, but the filter is still in the same location just to give you an idea.

I would also say opt for a bigger unit. Although F1x is maybe pushing that to the extreme.

Any of those blowers will outperform the 80lb injectors.

With the a and a boost a pump you think the 80's will run out? What mounting bracket is that?

running a boost a pump is not going to help the injectors unless you up the fuel pressure, and even that will only help a little. It really depends on what hp level you are shooting for. F1A would be ok up to 800-850. 80 pound injectors should work fine up to that power level, but will be very close if not maxxed out.

that is a GTO mounting bracket with a custom re-enforcement brace closer to the fender i made.

If I were you I'd go ahead and get bigger injectors. Those smaller pullies always to seem to find there way on the blower, at least they do around me lol.

This is a 408 with 317 heads, boost should be limited to keep the heads from lifting. This car is also to be street driven in the Kansas City area with air conditioning. My vote is to keep it simple and go with an F-1A. 900 rwhp should keep things interesting for you for quite a while. Bob

I agree... I think the F1-A should suffice.

I do like the gto bracket might do different heads later. I have a coated 3.85 pulley. How far will the 80's go I am thinking the waste gate with a controler would put less stress on my motor and help livability even though more boost earlier. But only on short few occasions would car see high boost to lift heads

Go F1A but do a real fuel system upgrade cause a BAP will only be a crutch for so long. Gonna need a bigger pump, injectors, new lines, etc.

The plan is three walboros on a hobb switch 10an and 8an return and a boost reference regulator might sell injectors around a hundred miles on them

Do you think 900 rwhp is possible with two stages of meth 50/50 first stage 100 second stage

No reason for it not to make 900 rwhp. The V below was only at 12.4 psi. Bob
