Default How much hp loss from 6spd to th350?

Just curious as to how much rwhp can be expected when swapping from a 6spd to a turbo 350? The car made 521 rwhp with the 6spd...the turbo 350 has a 2800 stall ptc converter. Any ideas as to what numbers to expect? I was figuring around 460 rwhp or so...Thanks in advance guys...

really? ya think? I obviously know its gonna be lower(hence the title of the thread) and know its gonna be faster(hence the reason for the swap)...i was just curious as to how much lower it SHOULD be to compare numbers for my own personal information. But thanks for the input...

4-10% less depending on the dyno, hell on some dyno's you might make the same power.

Its going to be much lower since it doesnt have lockup for the converter, but torque will be much higher. Dont worry about dyno numbers though just take it to the track for a real dyno.

it wont matter how much power the dyno says you have lost once you see the 0.3~0.4 ET you have lost at the track.
it Will get down the track faster than a t56...

I really don't think you'll worry about numbers after you feel the car perform.. if you decide to run a quarter stick shifter, pm me. I got something you'll be interested in.

This would be my best guess too. I've seen a back to back between a T56 and a 4L60e and the difference was 48rwhp, so assuming the Turbo350 is as efficient as one of those, that'd put you right about 470-475rwhp
