Default Magnaflow Cat Worth More Money?

Earlier I posted how I have one cat that's pretty well crushed because of a giant bump in the road. I currently have Thunderbolt metallic 3" cats. I'm looking at the Magnaflow metallic 3" cats to replace it.

The Thunderbolt cats advertise at 300 per square inch. The Magnaflows advertise at 200.

Basically... is it worth like 20 bucks more to get the Magnaflow cat?

Does anybody have a link where someone tested cats on a flow bench?

Thanks

They are good flowing cats, a lot of big shops tend to use them for the same reason. I just wouldnt know if they are better than the Thunderbolt cats.

Does anybody know if the different cell count will change the exhaust sound?

The less cells the louder it will be and you get more gains because of the bigger diameter.

I bought the 3'' spun Magnaflow cats and I really like the sound of them mixed with Sweet Thunders. It's a real deep rumble in the low rpm's and then it just sceams at WOT. The guy that did my exhaust has been doing exhaust work for 20+ years and he said he hasnt used ANY aftermarket cat other than Magnaflow. He said their quality is not even comparable to others. My .02.
