Is a Camaro Faster than a Ferrari?

Is a Camaro Faster than a Ferrari?
Hell ya! We kicked Ferrari butt all day at the recent chinn Motorsports track day at Sebring, including race prepared enduro 458's and 430's.
We are currently preping the car to complete in the NASA outlaw vintage class here in the SE. The class has lots of cool LS equiped vintage muscle cars.

The early year gen 2 gets my vote as the best-looking Camaro of them all, and not just because I had one. There's a lady who runs one with NASA Mid-Atlantic at VIR. I love the look and sound of that car.
Joseph, I hope to see your car up here some day. We need more pics and maybe even some video.

We started out with the front DSE subframe and suspension. It has since been significantly modified. We switched to a different steering rack (Appleton) for provide added clearance to the dry sump pump, added a tubular, adjustable front sway bar cause the dse one weighed a ton and was not adjustable, added a bunch of extra bracing, and cut off the front cross member and thinned out the rear cross member. This allowed us to lower the motor so that the pan was even with the bottom of the frame. BTW, we also moved the firewall back 5 inches so that we moved the motor back 7 inches. We are now at 53% rear weight. The front brakes are 6 piston wilwoods on 14 rotors, The rears are 12" rotors with the std wilwood 4 piston caliper.
We have mostly been doing DE's but our first wheel to wheel race will be at Road Atlanta I think June 14 (NASA). If anybody wants to come and hang out with us, your more than welcome.

If I was in the area I'd love to come hang! Heck, I'd love to come race and watch your tail lights all day (at least I'd have a good idea of the correct line).
