1986 Camaro - Caged, Forged 408, PRC237cc, Strange 9" 3.25, TH400, S475, MS2, MSD6010
This car started out as a 2.8 T5 sport coupe...
That was around 2001 when I was 12 years old.
After a lot of bodywork it was painted in 2006. I ran a few different engine/trans combos for a best of a 12.6 @ 110 last year with a 350/TH350.
This is what the car looks like now, except in a million pieces.
It recently has a 10pt moly cage and subframe connectors.
I found a Currie 9" housing with axles on Craigslist with a UMI torque arm and trans crossmember. The third member is a Strange with 3.25 gears and a Detroit Locker. I have a Spohn driveshaft and rear swaybar. Some other random suspension components I picked up are a tubular panhard bar and some boxed LCAs. No idea who makes them but they were on a car I bought to put all my old stuff in and sell. They look like they will be an improvement over the stock stuff.
Wilwood brakes with an internal parking brake so I can "pass inspection".
The engine is sitting in the machine shop at the moment, heads came last week along with everything else, just waiting for it to be assembled. Here is a shot of the short block.
I had this engine in the car and running as it was from the junkyard to convince myself I could get the megasquirt/6010 stuff to work. It is a pretty bizarre looking hotside with flipped cts-v manifolds and a very low mounted turbo. I will be running a scavenger pump because the drain is about as low as the top of the pan.
The transmission is a TH400 from TCI along with one of their converters. It is just waiting to be bolted up to the motor when it gets back from the machine shop.
The fuel system is an RCI fuel cell with a Holley pump/regulator. I plan on just using the truck plenum for a while. I also have 80lb injectors and hardware store fuel rail spacers following the sloppy mechanics guidelines. I found a mustang gt fuel injection harness on ebay and spliced that up for batch fire. Everything was taken out to weld the cage but here is a pic of it in a box, along with my turbo.

I used the same exhaust manifolds and turbo.
Nice work!

The last month or so I have been battling with what I though was the MSD 6010 box not reading the reluctor wheel on my Callies crank, got a replacement, but it turned out it was the weak junkyard starter not spinning the motor to enough RPMs to get a tach output... SMFH..
A quick video of it running. Planning to relocate my oxygen sensor to the downpipe then head to the dyno next saturday!

A couple of videos on the dyno, no full passes yet.
Finally got her idling and cruising. I need to change up the fuel system before we do any full pulls. I had the regulator hooked up to a returnless truck rail like it was a carburetor lol but I guess I didn't know any better. I have enough 10an running to my regulator to tap the front passenger side rail and put a 180* fitting on it.
I also, like an idiot, though a 1300cfm 16" fan would cool this thing and we couldn't put enough shop fans on the rad to keep it cool, so I have 2 12" 2200cfm pushers on the way.
Hopefully heading back to the dyno soon after these changes, and my axle seals are leaking so going to redo those with some silicone so the rollers aren't covered with gear oil lol.
