Default Spark plug gap

What size gap are you guys using? I couldn't start mine with the .60 stock gap, I went down to .35 and it fired up. Is this safe for the plugs to have that gap? I'm also using a edelbrock ls timing controller.

I've never had a reason to run over 0.040-0.045 on ANYTHING I've ever owned regardless of ignition or manufacturer recommendation. Some of those engines that GM said get 0.060" gap all of a sudden got changed a few years back even though the engine didn't change at all. YMMV.

I run .015" in my turbo motor, lol
.035" is perfectly fine n/a, and that is what I ran in my last n/a 6.0
