will a V8 muffler work on a V6 with duals out already? Does it all line up the same for the muffler connections?

v8 muffler should work on a v6-Might just have a slightly bigger ID then the v6.
Not sure what you're talking about with the duals lol

yes I guess I'm asking if the V6 and V8 mufflers are structured the same, or if the V6 has 2.25" inlet/outlets and the V8 has 2.5" inlet/out or some other differences.

thanks!

It does work you need to buy an adapter for the pipe. I put the Z28 exhaust on both my sons camaros.

You can buy the adapter from slp for $100.00 or you can buy the adapters from rock auto for about $15.00 the are walker 41968 and 41963 I welded them to the front pipe and clamped on the cat back. The take the pipes up from 2 1/4 to 2 3/4 and you can adjust the length you need by siding them together.

I had the factory exhaust from a non-WS6 2001 TA on my 1994 V6 bird and it sounded good and looked better with the dual tips. The person I bought the car from put it on so I can't comment about the adapters. Although $100 plus for an adapter is pretty expensive.

I used a stock 2 3/4" Z28 catback on my 2000 V6, used a spare intermediate pipe from a lt1 magnaflow catback, and 3" catco cat (Y pipe outlet/cat inlet on the V6 is actually 3" or so) and it fit perfectly. F*cking LOVED it. V6s sound like poo poo when they are loud. The Z28 catback gave it just a little more grumble. Got a lotta compliments.
