Default Vibration with Spohn Tunnel mount torque arm

So I installed the torque arm, and now I have a vibration that starts at about 60 mph and just increases with speed. Doesn't matter if I'm in gear, clutch in or out, coasting, it vibrates. Its a pretty good vibration where its like a massage chair. I have the torque arm set at -1*. Driveshaft is at 2* and the pinon at -3*. I'm lost, anyone have any ideas? I have spohn lower control arms with poly bushings. Moser 9, but I had the 9 inch in before the torque arm, and didn't get a vibration. I wanna go to the track soon and run with the 9 in and drag radials, but cannot figure this damn vibration out.

its because you are at negative. if you dont want vibration. zero it out. i have the same vibration at -2. when i set it for 0. then it goes away

Ok. I'll try that. I have minimal mods so it should be ok.

OP, i dont mean to hijack your thread so let me know if you want me to make another thread, i just figure i post my question here and maybe both of us can learn more and tackle this issue because i'm having similar problem as yours.

Long story short, i installed a moser 9" and now the car vibrates more upwards 60mph. I dont have adj torque arm, just a bmr non adj torque arm.

Im thinking about getting the tunnel mount but from what ive read on here, the tunnel mount would cause the car to vibrates more since it translates the movement of the rear end straight to the floor board.

Now to my questions. Keep in mind that the car is my daily, and it did not vibrate as much then until i installed the rear, i have adj panhard and adj lcas. The vibration really bothers me as around 70mph it would vibrates hard enough that my coins in the ashtray would make noise, again never happened before with the 10 bolts. Me andy buddy narrowed the problem down to the car not having adj torq arm.

What are the pros and cons of having tunnel mount vs trans mount?

Im just trying to justify is it worth spending the extra bucks to get the relocation bracket. I would hate to spend the money and the car would vibrate more with the tunnel mount.

Thanks in advance
Ray

There are no cons to the tunnel mount I'm aware of. I've had it for 8+ years without a problem.

the benefits: no stress on the tail of the Trans when launching or driving. You don't need to remove the tq arm to remove the Trans if you ever have to. Being able to adjust it is the key thing though so you can change how it effects your launch/trAction

No significant increase in cabin noise and vibration?

Since its mounted to the bracket thats bolted on floor board as opposed to trans tailshaft which has trans mount to dampened the vibration.

It depends how you order it. You can order it with poly bushings or rod ends. Mine has rod ends at the rear and at the cradle is poly. my tq arm is quiet.... The rest of my suspension however is all rod ends. So noisy as ****

I have poly bushings on the part that bolts to the crossmember and rod ends that bolt to the rear. I haven't gotten underneath it yet, hoping to tomorrow to adjust the torque arm. I don't track it a lot but it's not a daily either. I plan on going to the track next weekend but with my mods should I adjust it back to 0*? First F Body I've owned and new to all this suspension stuff. Learning as I go along. The only thing I noticed when I installed my Moser 9 is that its LOUD as ****. But guess I have to deal with it to have the insurance of a rear that won't break. I bought mine used off of a member on here. Maybe eventually I'll change out the center section but it's fine for me right now. Doesn't bother me if you hijack it. We're all about helping each other out on here

let me know what you find man. i'm really interested in this since i want to get the relocation bracket, i just don't want to waste my money if the relocation bracket naturally would cause more noise and vibration.

I adjusted it back to 0* and the vibration went down a lot. I do have spohn lcas so I'm guessing between that the torque arm and poly trans mount I will still have some vibration. I have a vibration but its not nearly as bad. Unless I'm wrong someone can correct me

Relocation. Where the load brace goes. The transmission mount itself is poly

New driveshaft last year for the 9 in.....I'm curious if I put the stock torque arm in and vibration is gone. Can I measure the pinion angle and match the tunnel mount to those measutments, if the vibration will go away. Just getting lost with this

Haven't been on here much. It ended up being one of the ubolts on the driveshaft came loose. So the driveshaft was the culprit
