Hahahahaha.......ok, what's the best factory coils then...? Truck coils....?

I ask because my 1998 stock coils have over 200,000 miles on them. When my Modular TT kit goes on.......I want to buy a new set of coils.

I'm no electrical engineer as that **** confuses me. However a while back i had a couple different sets of wires i was replacing on some vehicles. I tested the resistance on the wires and consistently MSD had the lowest resistance of any of the wires by a substantial margin.

Granted i don't think you can base everything on resistance alone, but it sold me. I doubt you would notice even the slightest difference between any wires on a LS because they are so short. I just like the way msd's fit the best also.

wires, id say msd...

coils, im with everyone else, leave em stock....I read an article
about stock gm coils, being tested aginst aftermarket "better"
coils, and the gm ones put out much more voltage.

I researched this a while back and people were having huge issues with MSD's and the pricing was not the only one. I painted my coils. I have heard good things about the firecores mentioned above.

i had MSD wires on my car with my procharger....i hated tehm. i could never tell if the ******* were snapped on. im giving the taylor 10.4 mm "409" race wires a try this time around on my twin setup. they seem to be a heavy duty wire.

same! msd's felt like they never clicked right and i was never sure if it was on right or not, sometimes they even slip loose and cause mis-fire. i switched to taylor wires and havent had any issues

All aftermarket wires suck, they don't give you that snap so you know they are on right. Its not 1989 where you got a blaster coil for your 305 tpi firebird and thought it made your car faster. Truck coil and what ever stock gm wires, that's it. You are not gaining anything with after market wires

Guess ill get GM truck coils and the Granitelli wires. Granitelli wires only because they are guaranteed for life for breakage or failure.....and they look good.

Thanks.
