LT1 to LS1 swap questions

LT1 to LS1 swap questions Hello. I have a bone stock 97 Z28 with 200k miles. I am looking into a swap to an LS1. My question is, what would need to be changed? It comes with wiring harness and bcm.
I was going to just mod my LT1. I was going to do a short block rebuild, recondition heads, recondition fuel injectors, comp cam, shorties, cold air, roller rocker arms, and tune. I get a lot of grief from people saying LS1 are way better and that its not worth the money to mod my LT1.
Throw me your opinions! If you need more info lemme know. Its an automatic 4l60e BTW , goingto rebuild with shift kit.
