Default instrument cluster issues!!

OK I got a 93 z28 with a bad cluster and my local salvage yard only HaS a cluster out of a 95 v6 its got all the same gauges in all the same places but is it a plug and play or not ?

Oh and I know it only has 110 on the speedo were mine has 150 but speedo needle doesn't even work so I can't have my cake and eat it to unless someone on here has one for sale ..

Here's one on ebay, and it's even the '93 only yellow letters like you have.
It's the 115 MPH cluster though.

You mean the 94-96 cluster. The 97 has a completely different display.

I have a extra 95 Z28 cluster 150mph but its 400 miles from me in a storage i wouldnt be able to get it unless i drive down there maybe sometime this summer.

OK so 93 - 96 are direct fits ??? Just wanna make sure I was told that the computers were different after 93 and that everything would work but the tachometer but if you guys saying that a 93-96 will work I'm definitely gonna change the cluster style.. I just don't wanna get a cluster that won't fully work

OK so I got a donor 1994 camaro with a v6 but I pulled the cluster and installed in my 1993 z28 and all the gauges are working now but my tach is acting funny... when I rev past 2000 the needle goes down to 0 basically it won't go past 2000 rpm what's going on ?cluster is in like new condition with only 106k miles on it...

they will not work, wiring is different and one or more of the gauges will not work if I can recall. However you can get a cluster from a 94-96 and change the circuit boards over. But only if the 93 cluster is good, apparently you is not.

IIRC, the Tach in a '93 in different (electronically) so it needs a '93 cluster or an adjustment box to correct it.

Also, '93 temp gauges start at 100 degrees instead of 160.

Just grab one of those clusters I posted and be done with it.
