Diamond Dome Nitrous Pistons...
Just seeing if anyone had some info on these pistons. They are +10cc dome pistons that are said to be designed for "small to large nitrous applications"... I would like to know if anyone here has had experience with these pistons. I am looking to get these pistons in a 408 with a 300 shot and wondering if they would hold up. I've looked all over the internet and have found much info on how much nitrous they are supposed to be able to safely take. I would be running a steel top ring set...

I believe that's the piston I put in my 408. Top ring being moved down to .3 will keep some of the heat off the ring. And the tool steel pin is supposed to be a plus. But I don't have any hard data to offer at this time. I've only had it running for a month. Seems to take a 250 fine. Lol. Diamond told me they were good for 400.

I ran them in both my 383 (3.905" bore) and my 408 mast ls3 headed engine
It's a decent piston for a shelf nitrous piston. If you're planning to spray 300 - 400 and its a race car I would talk to diamond and have them add a few options like gas porting and changing the ring package.

This is not for a race car, this is a street car... I was looking for high compression but these might be too much for my current set up, I would really prefer to run pump gas but after some calculation these heads came out to be almost 15:1 CR, wayyy to high for pump gas...

I'm curious as well.. I'm doing a 5.3 punched 3.905 w/ 10 cc pistons. I got Lunati forged rods and stock crank, all rebalanced. I was intending to run a 400 progressive setup. Heads I'm either going to run are 243 or 317's. plus it's going on race gas.
