Default DuSpeed OTRCAI

Sold my svede otrcai and picked this guy up from DuSpeed out of Australia. They were running behind so it took 3 weeks till it was done and then a week to get here. Looks great, now can't wait to try it out.

A couple of my buddies have those.

They are extra pretty.

Ho-ly **** are they pricey though.

Wow, it's so pretty. How easy would it be to change filters when needed?

Air goes in and exhaust comes out, all under the hood so you will never see it. I am sure I will never spend the money for one.

Aren't you limited to speed density and the stock diameter throttle body with those?

Yes you are, however the biggest problem with a fibre glass air intake is that they do eventually crack.

Not necessarily. I added an LS3 card-style MAF to mine and retuned for the different MAF curve.

THey are in the process of making a maf version. I couldn't wait so the ls3 maf I used with the svede is hidden underneath this, which is a pretty slick setup in itself. I paid $620 shipped for this with another guy, we split the shipping cost since they can do 2 per box. Stock diameter tb, no. I have a NW 102 and the opening is that big. Changing filters is no problem, its a lock style k&n. Thank god they sent the filter box that so I know what to use when its replaced. I sold my svede for $550 and originally only paid $300 for it. So I dont have much in this thing.

Don't have to cut your factory radiator shroud and can help keep the temps down and also should flow more air. They said it does and looks like it should but only time will tell.

Like all OTRCAI the filter is a restriction and you should race with it removed.

Honestly I never thought about that. Maybe I should get a velocity stack and replace my Vararam filter with it next time I go down the track. The intake noise would be awesome.

I plan on this one soon!! Does not seem to have a lot of room for much air in that front pocket. How do you change out the air filter and where can you buy new ones from the DuSpeed?

Remember to factor in a tune with it and a MAF if you don't already have a LS7. A tune is an absolute must because of the MAF situation. Greg maximized his situation but it's ~$1,000 conversion for most.

Teaser picture for you. My tuner wouldn't put my supercharger on without it. You will love it.

It has a tab and pulls straight up and out. They sent the box with the part number so anyone that sells k&n filters you can have them get it for you. If you buy a supercharged version you will be footing the entire shipping yourself since they can only fit one of those per box. The svede intake will let you run your stock maf but why bottle neck it since that too has a 100mm opening. If your going to run a svede or DuSpeed you are already looking for max output and shouldn't bottle neck the flow down. When I ran the svede I put on a TSP 100mm Maf tube with the ls3 cartridge maf and a nw 102mm DBW TB to go with my fast 102. The maf's aren't that expensive, between the maf and wiring harness will cost ya under a $100.

Don't forget the tune with a different MAF. I tune my own car but that's an expense for most people.

Definitely the best looking and one of the most effective CAI on the market for the GTO. Think I gained about 40/40 with this over stock box with K&N Filter. Just be aware that you will have to cut the fan shroud, raise the hood, and it will still rub. The paint will not stay looking perfect for long.
