Default V6 HP air intake and resonator Q's

I have a 99 Firebird V6...wondering which airbox intake is the best bang for the buck and a worthwhile improvement over stock.

Also I am considering a Vibrant Ultra quiet resonator behind a straight pipe. Does anyone have any experience with these?

I am really looking for more of Ferrari sound, not the loud "ricer" noise.

Thanks for the inputs!

Mark

Find a Whisper lid if you can on one of the many V6 boards. That's the best for the V6. After that would probably be the K&N FIPK. Some try to jerry rig the V8 lids to fit with drier hose but it usually looks poor. Others just debaffle the stock lid and delete the silencer with a home depot coupler mod.

I did the slp lid mod for the v6 and the loop it makes is pretty ridiculous but i could still feel better throttle response and not to mention you can hear that thing sucking in some air. Its still pretty efficient and looks better than stock.
